I am so excited for graduation and to reach the finish line for nursing school! I am most excited about commissioning as a 2nd LT in the US Army and to receive my BOLC date and begin my new adventure in Texas. Following my training in Texas I hope to eventually go overseas and serve in a hospital. Finishing nursing school is the start of a new adventure for me personally and I cannot wait to reach that chapter. However, I, like I feel most new graduates are, am feeling very anxious for the NCLEX. I believe that UNE has prepared me well and I look forward to successfully passing the NCLEX and being able to celebrate with my family, since they have supported me through my entire nursing school journey. I plan on having a gathering (covid friendly) to celebrate becoming an RN and 2nd LT with my family and closest friends.
Last semester was challenging for me, so I defiantly want this semester to be the best one yet! I have set up a weekly studying schedule for myself to hopefully help me to be successful this semester. I have been working over winter break and have established a plan with a new tutor to help better prepare me for his semester and the NCLEX. I feel like by using SMART goals I will be able to stay focused and on track to achieve my overall goal, graduating and passing the NCLEX. After completing the ATI Nurse Logic 2.0 Modules I feel more comfortable and confident in what to expect on the NCLEX. I really enjoyed the tips on how to prepare for the days leading up to the NCLEX. I am a very anxious person, so I think the relaxation tips are going to help me a lot as I complete the exam. I am excited for transitions this semester and for the transition out of school and to becoming a real RN!
