Module #1, testing and remediation was all about test taking strategies specifically regarding the NCLEX. I found this module extremely informative and helpful! I know of the NCLEX, I know I have to take it to become an RN and I have heard different information about it, but it was nice to have all the specifics spelt out for me to understand. The module also gave a number of test taking strategies to consider before/while taking the test. I found the most helpful strategies for me to be ways to minimize stress prior to the NCLEX and the don’t panic tips. I can imagine myself being extremely anxious to take the exam so remembering these strategies will defiantly benefit me when getting ready for my test. The information I learned in the module will influence my integration into the nursing culture significantly because only by successfully completing the NCLEX will I be able to fully begin my journey into the nursing profession and culture.

Module #2 went over some of key concepts in nursing such as, client centered care, client education, safety, professionalism, and leadership skills. I felt this module was a nice review of most of the topic we covered in Nursing 202 but also a nice refresher on some of the most important aspects of our jobs as nurses. I feel that all of these concepts will help me integrate into the nurse culture in a number of ways. These skills will help me be the best nurse I can be, best teammate, patient advocate, patient educator, and so much more. Nurses wear so many hats and play so many different roles it is extremely important to be familiar with some of these basic but most valuable skills.

  1. Kam, I loved your opening photo! Nice work on the reflections. I am glad you found both helpful, even though some was a review. Repetition is key to learning, so those nursing concepts will become the foundation for many of your courses.
