At first I was very unsure of the ePortfolio, I felt like it would be a waste of my time, as I am not one that really likes to put their work out in the public eye. However after the presentation in class and and after I was shown how the ePortfolio works and all of its uses I think that it could be a helpful tool in the future, to have a space where I can show case some of my best work. I do think though that it is hard to show someone exactly who you are through the internet. Face to face contact is still very important and my preferred way of communication especially as I move towards the more professional part of my career and uses of my ePortfolio.
Kamryn,
I love how you opted to organize your About Me page. Your collection of photographs speaks volumes, and you explained the meaning behind many of them with such thoughtful detail. It sounds like you have such a wide array of interests and passions.
I also enjoyed reading the reflection above. I agree with you that, in general, face-to-face connection proves so much more beneficial than digital-connection. That said, I’m so glad that you kept an open mind and can understand the ePortfolio as a potential tool in your ongoing student/professional career.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I look forward to reading more.
